Chỉ sự việc khởi đầu rất oai vệ, mạnh mẽ nhưng về sau sa sút, kết thúc kém cỏi. Cách nói dùng hình ảnh Hán Việt nhấn mạnh sự tương phản giữa phần đầu cao quý và phần đuôi tầm thường.

Describes something that starts out grand, powerful, or impressive but later declines and ends weakly. The Sino-Vietnamese wording gives it a more formal, literary tone while stressing the sharp contrast between a noble beginning and an inferior ending.
